Protest for Delhi Rape Case

#JusticeForNirbhaya
On 16th December, India witnessed an incident that shook the entire country. A 23-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered in Delhi. This incident brought lakhs of people to the streets, erupting protests for ‘Nirbhaya’, across several parts of the nation.

OYE – Organization for Youth & Elderly carried out protest rallies manifesting youth power and solidarity against atrocities faced by women. This was the first campaign since the inception of our organization. This rally began with a Signature Campaign, where thousands of people signed over a whiteboard, showing their support for this cause. Our President, Siddhant Mohite, and his team gathered more than 300 people of all age groups to carry out a protest rally which initiated from Lokhandwala Backroad, throughout the perimeter of Andheri West. Chilli Powder was distributed to all the women as a symbolic gesture and a signal to eve-teasers, anti-social elements and perpetrators of crime against women that women are empowered and can take care of themselves.
